Renfe of America has its own legal personality, separate from that of the State, full capacity to act in the attainment of its corporate purpose, and its own equity and assets, under the terms established in the third additional provision Law 38/2015, of 1 October 2015, of the Railway Sector, and according to the terms stipulated in its own Articles of Association, approved by Royal Decree 2396/2004 of 30 December (published in the Official State Gazette on 31 December).
Its corporate purpose is to provide national and international passenger rail transport services, providing tourist services, the organisation, offer and/or marketing of package tours or tourism products, as well as the provision of other complementary services or activities linked to rail transport.
